Problem |
| Bookmark, a chain of retail
store operating in South India needed to streamline and
standardize processes for transform their business and
improve customer satisfaction. They were facing
challenges with respect to productivity; market
positioning, go-to-market with store introductions,
customer management and procurement. KVP was also
entrusted with supporting Bharath Bookmark to improve
overall store operations. |

Support Strategy |
| KVP had to do a competition
analysis, conduct customer interviews, management and
associate interviews and do data gathering and finally
do an analysis on all observations. We established
certain best practices and processes which helped define
the root cause analysis on the current gaps. KVP was
able to provide key solution by setting and automating
the processes at every level of store and central
distribution operations and helping them to develop the
marketing and operational plan to re-position the stores
and building a scalable platform to expand reach through
setting up of new stores. We also supported the
streamlining of their production unit by strengthening
some of the key processes and monitoring quality
parameters at each stage of the process. |

Outcome |
KVP was able to provide the
guidance in developing the sales, marketing and
operational plans and help Bharath Bookmarks improved
customer experience.
KVP by automating the processes was able to help the
store inventory management and provide better store
control. By establishing clear roles and
responsibilities and establishing a HR framework, we
were able to improve the HR initiative and remove staff
hurdles. They were able to use of IT/technology for
smooth operations and target new segments to improve
revenue. Technology framework also helped them with
improved organizational efficiency and strengthened
margins. |
