| The
Problem |
The American India
Foundation (AIF, founded 2001) is a non-profit
organization that is devoted to accelerating social and
economic change in India. AIF awards grants to
education, livelihood, and public health projects in
India – with emphases on elementary education, women’s
empowerment, and HIV/AIDS, respectively. LAMP (http://www.aifoundation.org/programs/signature/lamp.htm)
is one of AIF’s key initiatives supporting over 250,000
children in migration prone geographies of Maharashtra,
Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa, and slums of Bihar
across 200 + villages in India.
To manage LAMP program AIF gathers a lot of student /
school data from the field but were not able to
effectively utilise it as the data analysis took time
and collaboration was not very effective because of lack
of common communication platform. |

| KVP
Support Strategy |
| Understanding the
importance of the LAMP initiative, KVP wanted to be a
part of this project to provide support to AIF in every
way possible. KVP utilised its resources as a part of
CSR activity supporting AIF in analysing their needs and
requirements of reconfiguring the data for effective
collaboration across field organization and central
planning team. After re-engineering certain critical
processes, KVP proposed Salesforce.com cloud application
to centralize data, generate appropriate triggers,
exceptional and standard reports to analyse the data on
the children who were part of this programme their
school performances, investment details, program health
and also quantify key benefits from LAMP |

| The
Outcome |
| Using the right data and
strong analytics, AIF will now be able to effectively
support field offices to improve the quality of their
work in education. They will now be able to more
effectively monitor coverage of children and their
retention in school, analyze children’s and schools’
performance and achieve better program outcome. |
